- Article Reception
The Editorial Committee receives and evaluates the proposed articles. If the article meets the guidelines, subject matter, and format required by the journal, the process will continue with step number 2.
1.1. If the article does not comply with the formatting guidelines, the author(s) will be asked to correct the document. Once the corrected version is submitted, the Editorial Committee will verify that all requests have been fully addressed. If so, the procedure continues according to step number 2.
- Selection of Reviewers
Two peer reviewers are assigned, who will carry out the evaluation based on a review form. The selection of reviewers is made according to their expertise and affinity with the subject of the proposed article. Authors may suggest reviewers.
- Peer Review Process
The article (text, figures, tables, and figure captions), together with a review form, is sent to the reviewers by email. It is important to note that eNeurobiology is committed to a double-blind review; the names of the authors and their affiliations are removed from the proposed articles and sent to experts in the field who have no conflict of interest with the review of the work. Authors and reviewers must not know the identity of the other parties involved in this peer review process.
- Peer Review Outcome
Once the reviews are received, based on the results, the committee sends the final decision to the author(s), including the required corrections. The final decision is defined by the Editorial Committee based on the evaluations of each reviewer.
- Proof Version
Once the corrections are made by the author(s), the Committee verifies their effectiveness and proceeds with the preparation of the proof version. This is sent again to the author(s), and the final modifications to the article are made.
- Online Publication
Finally, after approval by the author(s), the process concludes with the publication of the article.
